The Steele County Board of Commissioners normally meet in the evenings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, with the exception of the first meeting in January, which is set by statue on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of the month. The meetings are held in the County Boardroom located at 630 Florence Avenue, Owatonna, MN.    

The County Board Operates on a Committee system, with five committees in which two Commissioners are members.
